Hey Lykkers! Have you ever imagined wandering through vast fields of purple, breathing in the sweet fragrance of lavender?

In Provence, we did just that, and the experience was truly magical! The endless lavender fields stretched out before us like a painting come to life, and we couldn't wait to share this unforgettable journey with you.

Lavender Fields of Valensole

One of the most iconic lavender spots in Provence is the Valensole Plateau. As we strolled through the fields, we were surrounded by rows upon rows of fragrant lavender, painting the landscape in hues of purple and blue. The atmosphere was peaceful, with only the sound of bees buzzing in the air. Valensole is known for having some of the most scenic lavender fields in the region, especially during the blooming season from late June to early July.

Opening hours: The fields are open all year round, but the lavender blossoms are at their peak in summer. There's no formal entrance fee, but guided tours are available, typically ranging from €15 to €30. It's the perfect time for photography, and if you're lucky, you'll catch a breathtaking sunrise or sunset.

Abbaye de Sénanque: A Tranquil Escape

Another must-see spot is the Abbaye de Sénanque, a medieval abbey nestled among lavender fields. As we walked through the abbey's stone pathways, we marveled at its history and the serene surroundings. The lavender fields surrounding the abbey are a perfect contrast to its ancient architecture, creating a peaceful atmosphere where time seems to slow down.

Opening hours: The abbey is open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM during peak seasons, with reduced hours in the off-season. Admission is around €7 per person, which includes access to the gardens. The abbey is still a working monastery, so we also respected its quiet ambiance as we explored.
